The Borough of Cresskill is improving its capability to provide our residents with the most up-to-date information as quickly as possible. Our new web site will enable our departments and authorized borough staff to directly participate in managing their web site content and displaying the latest information for you.

CRESSKILL HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM The Cresskill Housing Rehabilitation Program (CHRP) assists lower income Borough homeowners in making basic repairs to thier homes.  If you qualify, you can borrow up to $20,000 from the program at 0% interest.  There are no monthly payments.  The loan is repaid only when the house is sold or title transferred and the funds repaid are then used to help another Borough family.  The application can be found in the Forms Center of this website under Building Dept.                                                                                                        REMINDERS    General Election - Tuesday, November 2, 2010.  Polls open 6:00 am - 8:00 pm.   (Tues., October 12th is the last day to register to vote in the General Election.) (Tues., October 26th is the last day to apply by mail for a mail-in ballot for the General Election, application must be received by County Clerk's office by October 26th.) All dogs and cats must be licensed each year.  Licenses are to be acquired by Jan. 31st.  Required proof of rabies must be valid through 12/31/10 and proof of neutering is needed.  Late licensing after February is subject to a late fee of $25 plus the cost of the license.  Free rabies inoculations are offered at the Cresskill Animal Hospital.  Homeowners with an alarm system are required to register with the Borough.  The yearly fee of $30 is due no later than March 1st.  Alarms not registered and responded to by the Police may result in a penalty.
