CRESSKILL HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM
The Cresskill Housing Rehabilitation Program (CHRP) assists lower income Borough homeowners in making basic repairs to their homes. If you qualify, you can borrow up to $20,000 from the program at 0% interest. There are no monthly payments. The loan is repaid only when the house is sold or title transferred and the funds repaid are then used to help another Borough family. The application can be found in the Forms Center of this website under Building Dept.
REMINDERS
Tuesday, May 14th is the last day to register (or transfer) to vote in the June Primary Election.
Tuesday, May 28th is the last day to apply for a mail-in ballot for the June Primary Election by mail.
(Application must be received by the County Clerk's office by May 28th).
PRIMARY ELECTION - TUESDAY, JUNE 4TH - POLLS OPEN 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
All dogs and cats must be licensed each year. Licenses are to be acquired by February 28th. Required proof of rabies must be valid through December 31, 2013 and proof of neutering is needed. Late licensing after February 28th is subject to a late fee of $10 plus the cost of the license. A summons will be issued after March 15th. Free rabies inoculations are offered at the Cresskill Animal Hospital.
Homeowners with an alarm system are required to register with the Borough. The yearly fee of $30 is due no later than February 15th. Alarms not registered and responded to by the Police may result in a penalty.
