Public Works Information
The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining all borough roads, borough owned buildings, as well as all parks and playgrounds. We also repair and maintain all borough owned vehicles and equipment. Road maintenance includes street sweeping, leaf collection, salting and snow plowing, pavement maintenance, storm drains, and recycling pickup.
Flooding / Storm Issues
We understand that with storms and heavy rain it results in an excess amount of waterflow through many parts of town. Our department works as efficiently as possible and cannot always respond to phone calls regarding such matters.
In order to properly handle issues that may arise, we ask that you please email firstname.lastname@example.org so work orders can be processed, and we can ensure these matters are addressed properly.
We thank you for your patience.
Garbage and Recycling
All garbage and recycling pickups are handled by Interstate Waste Services, please call them directly at (973) 623-7600 if you have any questions or issues regarding your scheduled pickups. The Department of Public Works cannot arrange for additional garbage and recycling pickups and all inquiries must be handled directly through Interstate Waste Services.
