Library Policies
Library Cards
All Cresskill residents are entitled to a free
library card, which must be presented
for every borrowing transaction. Identification with proof of
residency is required when applying for a card. Lost cards are
replaced for $5.oo. The card is honored in all Bergen County
Public Libraries.
LOAN PERIODS, RENEWALS, AND OVERALL FINES
- Books and Audio books:
- 28 day loan period
- 2 renewals
- $0.10/ day overdue fines
- Express books:
- 7 day loan period
- No renewals and no reserves
- $.25/ day overdue fines
- New books and CD's
- 14 day loan period
- 2 renewals
- $.10/ day overdue fine
- Videos and periodicals
- 7 day loan period
- 2 renewals
- $.10/ day overdue fines
- Silver Screen Blockbusters
- 2 day loan period
- No renewals
- $2.00/ day overdue fines
Renewals are permitted only if an item has
no reserves.
Cresskill materials may be returned to any BCCLS
library.
